“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go…”
― Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You’ll Go!1
And oh… the thinks you can think2 during and long after any of the wonderful courses at the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research (IGHR) at Samford University, June 10-15 this year.
I don’t know anybody who’s ever been to IGHR who hasn’t come away thinking it was a wonderful learning experience. I’ve had the great good fortune to have completed Course 4 (Advanced Methodology and Evidence Analysis; Elizabeth Shown Mills, coordinator) in 2010 and Course 5 (Writing and Publishing for Genealogists; Thomas W. Jones, Ph.D., coordinator) in 2011, and sure hope I can manage to register for one of this year’s many offerings.
So it’s probably NOT in my best interests to remind you (I mean, what if you get the last spot in the class I want???)… but… REGISTRATION FOR THE 2012 IGHR COURSES BEGINS TOMORROW, TUESDAY, 17 JANUARY, AT 11 A.M. EASTERN (10 A.M. CENTRAL, 9 A.M. MOUNTAIN, 8 A.M. PACIFIC).
You snooze, you lose.
