One week to go
He was born in North Carolina before there were birth records there. He died in Texas before there were death records there. There’s no official record of his marriage. And his family name was one of those woefully common surnames that can be found by the thousands even in the earliest censuses.
There’s not one single record in existence today where either of his parents mentioned him by name, and not one single record in existence today where he mentioned either of his parents.
But we can still find out who his parents were, and tie him to a pack of brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, in-laws and more.
How?
Join me in tracing an Ellis County, Texas, man back to his North Carolina roots in Building a Family from Circumstantial Evidence, a free Legacy Family Tree Webinar one week from today.
You need to register in advance if you want to participate in the webinar live.
And if you can’t clear your calendar for that day and time, remember that Legacy Family Tree webinars are available, free, for at least 10 days after each webinar, and then available for purchase so you can review the information more slowly, in more depth, at your own pace.
See you next week!
Can’t wait! I’ve been signed up for weeks for this webinar.
Looking forward to all the great questions I know I’ll get!
Judy,
Can you talk to the Legacy Tree people about making their past webinars on CD viewable to people that don’t have a Windows-based computer, i.e., those of us that have Macs?
Thanks,
I will certainly pass that message along, Jeff.
