Heading to Australia

The Legal Genealogist has been crossing the Tasman Sea the past two days, en route to Sydney, Australia.

We’re due to arrive there today (Wednesday the 24th, Australia time), and have a morning of speaking to Sydney genealogists waiting for us. We’ll be looking at the ethics of DNA testing and at why we want to preserve our own family stories accurately through time.

But before I can leave New Zealand behind… a last look at that gorgeous country and its inhabitants…

In Dunedin, we found ourselves in the midst of a competition of pipers…

From town, we headed out to see the little blue penguins:

Then into vehicles that did this gravity-defying act:

So that we could see more seals, including this pup:

What a gorgeous country…
