The Genealogy Guys

You are known, so the saying goes, by the company you keep.

If that’s true, then The Legal Genealogist will be known very nicely indeed, thankyouverymuch.

Because, tomorrow, at the 2018 seminar of the Pinellas Genealogical Society in Largo, Florida, the company I’ll be keeping includes two of genealogy’s best: the Genealogy Guys, George G. Morgan and Drew Smith.

George and Drew will be doing the lunchtime breakout sessions — George on evidence analysis and Drew on organizing your genealogy — and attendees are sure in for a treat.

George and Drew have been a team — and a force for genealogical excellence — for more than 20 years. They’re speakers, writers, podcasters, and they share their knowledge freely with the entire genealogical community.

The Genealogy Guys podcasts number well into the 300s now — episode 338 came out at the end of January and featured book reviews, answers to reader questions about topics as varied as DNA on one side and the Ku Klux Klan on the other.

And they also produce the Genealogy Connection — more in-depth interviews with folks like, most recently, Eric Wells of The NextGen Genealogy Network, and earlier episodes with genetic genealogist Angie Bush and even The Legal Genealogist back in June of last year.

Their books are must-haves for all genealogists. George’s most recent is How to Do Everything; Genealogy, now in its fourth edition and available in paperback or for the Kindle from Amazon. Drew’s is Organize Your Genealogy: Strategies and Solutions for Every Researcher, also available in paperback or for the Kindle from Amazon.

Great guys with great contributions to genealogy… and the company I’ll be keeping tomorrow. Hope to see you there, but even if not… check out The Genealogy Guys.

You’ll be in good company.
