… grows into a mighty woman…

One of The Legal Genealogist‘s favorite sites is A Mighty Girl.

Why?

Because it focuses on girls — and women — as the mighty people they are.

And it reminds us that mighty girls grow into mighty women.

Case in point: my baby sister.

Who began as a daughter (shown at about age 4 with our mother).

And a sister (maybe age 5 with our oldest sister Diana).

Became a wife (with the light of her life, Mike).

And a mother (four generations! — with our mother and grandmother).

And a scientist and teacher (with her students).

Even a grandmother (with both grandbabies).

And who needs to be celebrated on this Family Saturday around these parts because, tomorrow, she’s the Birthday Girl.

A mighty girl who became a mighty woman… and has made us all the richer for it.
