Planned downtime at MyHeritage
Our new virtual reality has had its up sides and its down sides. On the up side few events have been cancelled. On the down side even more events have been scheduled.
Which means it’s a busy time around The Legal Genealogist, with institutes and conferences and webinars and more.
So… snippets as time allows.
Little bits and pieces of genealogy like a warning for tomorrow, August 3.
Just in case you were planning to spend the day on MyHeritage, working on DNA matches or updating your family tree or checking records.
The online service announced in its blog that: “This Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021, MyHeritage is planning scheduled maintenance to improve the website infrastructure and its performance. While our teams implement these infrastructure improvements, the MyHeritage website and mobile app will be unavailable for several hours starting at 12:00 AM EST/6:00 AM CET. We’ll do our best to complete this work quickly and get the site back up and running as soon as possible.”
In other words, we’ll just have to head over to one of the other online services and — sigh — work on DNA matches and update trees and check records.

Judy- I enjoy the snippets… thanks for making the time to fit them in.
Be advised that for the first time, I actually read the updated “terms of agreement’ for a work-related vendor site, and it is all your fault! Thank you…
